Ahead of its Netflix release, The Last House is bringing its mysterious premise to life with an unusual stunt above one of Los Angeles’ busiest intersections.
Starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, the film follows a family of four who are suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out.
Beginning Thursday, Aug. 6 through Saturday, Aug. 8, a performer will “inhabit” a furnished living room built into a billboard 30 feet above the ground at Selma Avenue and Sunset Blvd. The performer will attempt to maintain a sense of normalcy while communicating with commuters and passersby below through a whiteboard.
The stunt serves as an eerie reflection of the family’s isolation in the film, giving Los Angeles audiences a real-world glimpse into its unsettling premise.
The Last House arrives on Netflix Friday, Aug. 7, inviting viewers to consider how long they could survive if they were suddenly cut off from the world without explanation.
