French Montana is proving he is the king of the level up. The Moroccan born, Bronx raised rapper just turned one of hip hop’s wildest rumors into reality. French is officially engaged to Princess Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum after presenting her with a diamond ring worth more than one million dollars.
The custom piece was designed by Eric the Jeweler of Mavani & Co., who worked with French for months to bring the vision to life. The finished design features an emerald cut diamond weighing 11.53 carats with an estimated value of $1,050,000. Montana’s team described it perfectly, saying, “The elegant and rare design is a perfect symbol of the couple’s unique love story.”
Get this, French, 40, popped the question in June during Paris Fashion Week. The proposal came just days after his runway debut, when he walked in the 3.PARADIS Spring and Summer 2026 show. On June 25, he marked the moment on the Gram with a post that simply read, “TOUCHDOWN .”
The power couple went public with their engagement on August 29 through a joint post showing off the massive ring.
Our friends at TMZ broke the news first, while PEOPLE later confirmed it with an official statement from French’s camp. His representatives added that both families are now working through wedding arrangements, with the celebration to follow at a later date.
In case you missed it, French and Mahra’s romance first caught attention in October 2024 when she shared photos of their time together in Dubai. They later made headlines again during Paris Fashion Week after appearing at several events side by side. Mahra, daughter of Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was previously married to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum and has one daughter from that marriage. French is father to his teenage son Kruz from a past relationship.
