She attended Columbia University, studying social work and public policy. Her commitment to activism and human rights lead her to gain extensive experience working with the United Nations. "Love beyond Borders" is an international LGBT rights campaign, she co-founded which helps provides educational services to the LGBT population within the African sub-continent.
