Every once in a while, someone comes along and makes you take notice. In an overcrowded Hip-Hop market, it’s hard for a new artist to get a room full of judgmental people to listen to what you are saying. 20-year old Angel Haze, however, did just that. Bringing what she calls an “androgynous” style to the Source offices, the 20-year old captured the attention of the staff with a personality that begs you to listen to her music. Born in Detroit, but now residing in New York, Angel Haze is a new breed of female MC. On the heels of her July 17th Noizy Cricket/Biz 3 release, Reservation, the Native American (who goes by @NativeRaeen on twitter) is ready to tell her story. Claiming to be the best female rapper alive, Angel is out to prove that she can make it even without a “fat ass.”
