Watch ScHoolboy Q’s New Video, “Groovy Tony,” Here

ScHoolboy Q has returned.

TDE’s resident Hoover Crip has been scarcely heard from since the release of his 2014 debut, Oxymoron, making appearances on Tinashe singles and Disclosure remixes during his well-deserved album hiatus. Just three years removed from being a blip on the gangster rap radar, ScHoolboy debuted atop the Billboard 200 with Oxymoron, garnering a Grammy nomination in the process. Since then, Q has been hard at work on his follow-up, which had been teased only on Twitter and TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith‘s Instagram up until now.

As promised, Tiffith unleashed Q’s new single, “Groovy Tony,” the music video to which he’d teased on his IG back in February. As is customary, Q officially begins the roll-out to his new album with  a cutthroat gangster rap record, quite unlike what the “Groovy” prefix suggests, and just hours later, the official music video was unveiled as well. You can stream the song here on Apple Music, and watch the Little Homies and Jack Begert-directed visual above.
