FOX executives released the trailer to their new event series, Shots Fired, starring Sanaa Lathan, Helen Hunt, Mack Wilds, and more.
The series will portray a Black cop involved in a racially-motivated shooting, resulting in the death of a white teenager. The emotion-filled trailer shows Lathan as a investigator on the case, digging into the details of what happened the day of the shooting, including trying to find witnesses who aren’t cooperative.
This series looks like it will be both controversial and thought-provoking. Gina Prince-Bythewood is executive producing the series; Prince-Bythewood also wrote and directed Love and Basketball.
