Baume Scores an Alley Oop By Creating a Watch Made Of Recycled Skate Decks

Ok, now this is one cool and crafty way to keep track of time!

The brains over at Baume — a recently launched watch brand that creates customizable and sustainable timepieces — just partnered up with pro skateboarder Erik Ellington for a watch made completely from recycled skate decks. Very rad!

Done in collaboration with Ellington’s lifestyle label HRS, the watch was put together using skateboards that the former Zero rider and his friends donated to be up-cycled into something way more luxe. The customizing comes into play with the individuality of each piece, due to the different textures and wood color of each deck provided. The set comes in either black or natural-colored cork straps that are interchangeable, in addition to Baume’s signature “Iconic Series” automatic movement and design. These might cost you a pretty penny, with a price range that cost more than most skaters would be willing to drop on a single deck or even a pair of the most premium trucks, but at least you’ll be one of the flyest ripping it down the half-pipe!

Cop you own HRS x Baume watch, limited to only 100 units, right now for $1,350.00 USD online. Get a better look below:
