The general reaction to Nicki Minaj’s “Stupid Hoe” video was that it was simply stupid. Well, maybe the general folks didn’t like the song which in turn wouldn’t make the video any more enjoyable. If you’re a daily viewer of BET don’t expect to see the video any time soon.
Today TMZ is reporting BET has made a decision to ban the Hype Williams directed visual from its network. No reason stated but a source at the company say the video was just to explicit for television.
In this day in age the move by the network does no damage to Nicki or the video. Since its premiere last week the video has accumulated over 20,000,000 views on VEVO, making the digital a bigger platform than the cable network.
Any publicity is good publicity.
