On February 15th, Artcurial held Street Art actuion in Paris. Legendary and pioneering graffiti artists’ work sold at record high prices. 201 lots of featured work from artists across the world and streetart spectrum. Street artists Banksy, Falle, Swoon, Shepard Fairey and writers Black Comet, Stay, High 149, Iz the Wiz Dondi, and Kase 2 were amoung the work up for bid. The biggest sale of the night went to Seen. Seen is a legendary train painter from the Bronx, now living in Paris, whose is featured in Subway Art and Style Wars . His 2009 piece Spiderman Who?, was estimated at $35,000-$45,000, yet sold for a record breaking $122,210.
