Afeni Shakur watched along from her own home rather than experiencing her son’s holographic reincarnation at Coachella Sunday night. The deceased rappers mother was actually very supportive of the performance.
According to TMZ, “Dr. Dre asked Afeni for approval to incorporate Pac into his performance — and she said yes. As a thank you, we’re told Dre made a donation to the rapper’s charity … The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation.”

Daz Dillinger also announced Nate Dogg was originally slated to perform as well but prior to the performance the concert directors opted for a video tribute instead.
