Sad news today as NFL legend Junior Seau was found dead in his Oceanside, CA home. According to TMZ a law enforcement source at the scene told them they believe he shot himself. Family members say they didn’t notice any signs of depression from Seau but he sent out text messages to his ex-wife and 3 kids yesterday saying “Love You”, to which they all responded.
Seau drove his car off a cliff in 2010 after allegedly attacking his girlfriend but insisted that he wasn’t trying to kill himself; he had fallen asleep at the wheel.
Seau was a 12-time Pro Bowler, 6-time First-Team All-Pro and was selected fifth overall in the 1990 NFL draft after an amazing collegiate career at USC. He played with the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and the New England Patriots. He played in the league for 20 years. He leaves behind three kids; an ex-wife and many loved ones. He was 43-years-old and will be missed.
