Jay-Z’s adding his own spirits to the top shelf. He and Pharrell set the scene at New York City’s “The Top of the Standard” last night for the introduction of D’usse (pronounced “dew-say”), a Bacardi produced VSOP cognac. Mama Tina Knowles, Solange, Jake Gyllenhaal, Steve Stout, DJ Kiss, DJ M.O.S. and other specially invited guests and journalists scored fresh sips with Hov for a few happy hours of exclusive tasting. The unreleased cognac is expected to launch next month and could lead Hennessy to a hangover of it’s own when it goes on sale in the U.S.A. this September. D’usse cognac will be retailed for $44.99 per 750-ml bottle.
