Jay-Z To Headline “Budweiser Made In America” Music Festival In Philadelphia

This morning, Jay-Z held a press conference at the Philadelphia Museum of Art with Philly Mayor Michael A. Nutter to announce that he will headline and curate the first “Budweiser Made In America” music festival this Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sunday, Sept. 2. According to the press released handed out, the two-day music festival produced by Live Nation will benefit United Way. 

The blockbuster roster of talent will include nearly 30 artists that “embody the American spirit,” all hailing from different musical genres, including Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Latin and Dance. The performances will take place across three stages on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia’s Fairmont Park.

The festival is believed to take place over a two day span at Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. Talent will be announced on May 21, and pre-sale tickets will be available through ticketmaster.com on May 22. 

At press time, the conference was filling up, with folks like industry heavyweight Steve Stoute and Philly rapper Freeway in attendance. We’ll keep you posted!!
