Today would have the 45th birthday of Dwight Myers better known as Heavy D. Earlier this year, we lost one of Hip-Hop’s greats when the veteran MC died of a pulmonary embolism. The Hip Hop legend was responsible for helping to introduce the very popular new-jack swing movement to the genre of hip hop. The Source recognizes his legacy and wishes him a Happy Birthday.
