The legendary drummer faced a brutal flight schedule this past weekend. In case you’ve failed yourselves and do not follow The Roots drummer on Instagram take a quick glimpse into this 24 hour crazed experience.
Ok. Overslept til 5am. Tried to make my 630am flight. Took them an hour at JFK to find me a 430pm flight. Went home napped. Went to breakfast, packed & high tail it to Newark got on flight, edited my book on flight. Landed in Phx. Made my connection to Reno and landed 1030pm west coast time. Then a driver drove me to Tahoe (hour away) got to hotel/club at 1150. Took me 7 mins to ish/shower/change made it to stage 1159. Did 2 & 1/2 hrs set. Begged em to let me grab a sandwich from massive cafeteria. They denied me. I was too tired to tweet cuss em. Opted for 1 hr 20 min nap. Got in car 415am got to Reno 520am. Hit on plane 620am landed in Phx. Transferred to flight back home 930am for 5 hr flight. I didn’t complain once. This is typical day artists go through when they are in the business. No questions. No complaints. You hustle & sacrifice. And you also love it.
