The Source Chats With The Stars Of Tomorrow At The Jordan Brand Classic

2012 National High School Invitational - March 30, 2012

Tyler Ennis – Syracuse

You got snubbed by the McDonald’s All-American Game than you went out and dropped 54 points in your next high school game. Are you trying to do anything special on Saturday?

(laughs) I’m just going to go out there and play hard. I mean if it’s there for me to score 54 I’ma score it but I’m not going to force anything. I’m going to play my role, I’ma distribute, get everybody good shots and just show everyone what I can do.

Syracuse 2-3 zone, how do you think you’re going to fit in?

I think I fit in well, you know it’s not something that was a big factor in my decision but it’s something that I think I can play well in with my length and be able to read the passing lanes. It’s (2-3 Zone) has been successful over the years so hopefully we can have success next year.

Michael Carter-Williams left and Brandon Triche graduated, especially Triche how is it going to be filling in for someone who has the most starts in Syracuse history?

Well he has a legacy at Syracuse, he’s one of the few guys who have graduated and started every game. I’m not really trying to fill their shoes I’m just trying to do what my team needs me to do. I’m going to go in there and lead, play a big role, but I’m not gonna try and out do Mike or out do Brandon.
