A recap of hip-hop in this weeks sale per the Billboard 200.
Young Money tops the charts this week, with Tyga’s ‘Hotel California’ sitting pretty at #7 on the Billboard 200. Following at #8 is Lil Wayne’s February release ‘I Am Not A Human Being 2.’ Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are still riding off their independent success of The Heist, which takes this week’s #16 spot. Tyler The Creator’s new album didn’t spend too much time at the top – it’s already fallen to #22. Unlike Kendrick Lamar’s GKMC, which is still staying strong on the charts in the Top 50 at #44. A$AP Rocky’s ‘Long.Live.A$AP’ is still in the Top 100, sitting at #77. T.I. just missed the 100 mark – ‘Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head’ is #104 this week. 2 Chainz’s ‘B.O.A.T.S.’ may have dropped last summer, but its still #117 on the chart. And as much as folks hated on Wiz Khalifa’s ‘O.N.I.F.C.’, it’s still selling – it earned the #126 spot. Drake reminds us he runs this game, with his Grammy-winning ‘Take Care’ still reigning supreme, taking the #158 spot. His debut album ‘Thank Me Later’ coincidentally falls right behind in the #159 spot. Chief Keef’s debut ‘Finally Rich’ lands at #174, and Meek Mill’s ‘Dreams & Nightmares’ is #181. Last but not least, Future Hendrix stays in the Top 200, with ‘Pluto’ landing at 190.
