Notable Songs: “Sleep to Dream”; “21 Gun Salute”; “4 LOKOS (Feat. Children of the Night)”; “Better Than Gold”; “Intro” ; “Changes In Weather (Feat. Kris Nicole)”; “The Highest (Feat. Meechy Darko & Bodega Bamz)”; “Reggae Gold”; “Flowers (Feat. Mr. MFN eXquire, Remy Banks & Goldie Glo)”; “SVR”

Prince Samo is one of the most exciting members of the crew. Seemingly always shirtless, constantly shouting out Hillside, and consistently oozing nothing but bars and energy, Samo commands every track he jumps on. His ironic sense of humor is only matched by his steadfast grind, both of which are lovingly embraced in his music.

Don’t think that he is all happiness and good times, Samo’s bars delve into some pretty dark places—“This be that deep symbolism, black illuminati rap/John the Revelator slash John Gotti rap/ Genghis Kahn, Noriega, Gaddafi rap,” he raps on “SVR.” He is a great lyricist, and will might just have listeners pressing rewind often.

Street Viceroy, his sophomore mixtape, is the latest project from the entire crew. Samo takes us through his mind and what is going on his life every day. At some points he is trippy, like on “Flowers,” while at other times he is hungry for recognition. The “Intro,” which starts simple and slow, builds until it is an epic rallying call. By the end of the track, you will understand what it means for Samo to still be rapping. Even still, on the track “I’m Dead,” he rips at your heartstrings. Taking the viewpoint of someone who has committed suicide, he rhymes about his mistakes, and the anxieties that fill his dying mind. It is an amazingly powerful track.

Samo is one of the emcees to definitely keep an eye out for, he has some real potential.
