Lets be honest, Marshall Mathers is not known for being politically correct (that would be Macklemore you’re thinking of), he gained notoriety from doing the opposite. His first two albums, The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP, are filled with homophobic, misogynistic, and antagonistic rhymes. However, artist can sometime elevate themselves beyond their art, and Eminem did that during the 2001 Grammy Awards. Shrugging off rumors of his anti-gay stance, he proudly stood next to Elton John. They performed one of the greatest duets and definitely a standout from that night.
