2006: Busta Rhymes ft. Q-Tip – “Get You Some”
http://youtu.be/YRSehnq0TfE
Remember the Middle Eastern influences I spoke of previously, well “Get You Some” is a great example of this. From the woman singing to the intricate string work, the style can be recognized. It is one of Busta Rhymes’ more mainstream tracks, but both emcees still spit well. There are lot of threats being thrown around and a lot references to hustling, which breaks from what is usually associated with Q-Tip. It still works, especially with the female vocals singing the hook.
