Bushwick held it down for Brooklyn as the community showed heavy support of music and the arts.

Brooklyn celebrated a night of freelance expression of music and art. Over the weekend, 9 Lounge hosted “Loco Math”, an event that brought out the best in underground hip-hop and street art. Presented by 4Fun and the Art Kartel, the showcase included performances from several acts including “Crooked Smile” producer Elite, DJ Nap and so much more. Lou Morgan, son of SNL alum Tracey Morgan, held down the hosting duties for a night of local music, unique art and free food courtesy of the Hood Chef.

“Tonight’s event is something spectacular,” said the Hood Chef. “It’s our first annual Loco Math party and it provides awareness to all the brands involved. And it’s all free.”

Along with the musical acts, street art by veteran artist Atomic decked the walls of the venue. His wild-style pieces dominated the entire room. To make the event even more interactive, girls were preselected to act as blank canvases for artists to freehand work on their bodies.
