wet Skipper of HBK Gang’s newest mixtape, Wet 2, is full of soulful tracks with spoken word like flow. Skipper’s rhythmic yet easy going flow is a breath of fresh air to the Bay Area hip hop sound; his style is sounds like West Coast  Q Tip.

“In this Bitch” is a banger of a track off the mixtape,  thanks to its Yeezus similarities and smooth verses. “Make You Feel” is another key track with hooks like “Even though we living wrong,we try to make it right. Baby just hit my phone. I’m going to make you feel alright.” This track contains a flute like instrument playing in the background, giving it a De La Soul vibe. Wet 2 is a HBK mixtape, with all of the production done by fellow members of HBK and The Invasion (including Iamsu!, Kuya Beats, and Jay Ant). Their beats support Skipper’s easygoing flow.

Although Bay Area hip-hop tends to fall into rotating the same kind of instrumentals and beats. Key tracks from Wet 2 are “Make You Feel,” “In this Bitch” and “Still Good.”
