Talk about formulating the perfect record for an artist. DJ Premier sampled The Onyx’s “Throw Ya Gunz” record while looping Shelly Manne’s “Infinity” track. The Jeru record had distinctive sounds and cadences such as “raindrops” which added to the originality of the whole track. It just shows how outside this world Premier is on the boards and how he can make virtually anything sound great.
