One of Chicago’s footwork originators Rashad Harden, also known as music producer Dj Rashad has reportedly passed away. The news was brought about on twitter when Dj Godfather ( @DJGodFather ) tweeted: Im hearing some bad news I need confirmation about. When Dj Shortstop ( @Djshortstop ) shortly quoted him and added: that doesn’t sound to good. Dj godfather then replied: Dj rashad passed away. According to Harden’s publicist an official statement will be released Monday morning. The talented Dj from Chicago was recognized as one of the people that helped develop footwork, a stlye of house music that were used for danced battles. His past work also included collaborations with artist like Chance the rapper and Dj spinn. Condolences to his friends and family.
