That was quick.
Earlier today, we brought to you the preview of a new Lil’ Wayne song, “D’USSE”, that featured a brief Jay Z shoutout–appropriate, considering D’USSE is to Jay Z as Ciroc is to Diddy–and we wondered it it was a song off of Wayne’s upcoming Carter V album.
The song is now hear, and available for your listening pleasure, but we somewhat over-billed it. It isn’t an official record–Cortez Bryant, Weezy’s manager, made sure to tweet about the track being a “freestyle”–so it won’t be on Tha Carter V. Also, that vaguely possible Jay Z feature we pondered about also isn’t present. Nonetheless, Wayne continues his 2014 tear, and this is most certainly the best we’ve heard him since that 2-year stretch where he made the convincing “best rapper alive” argument.
