With today’s sociopolitical climate (Syria, Ukraine, Ferguson), a lot of Hip-Hop fans have been disappointed in the lack of leadership from their favorite artists. While there has been somewhat of a response in the news, some (Killer Mike) have proved more effective than others (Talib Kweli). And of course, there are those artists who choose to fight with their pen. Jersey City’s Constant Flow is part of that latter group. For the final single off his upcoming Ascension album (9/2), Constant is joined by fellow Viper Records emcee, Immortal Technique, and singer Melanie Fontana to remind the world that we should sometimes look at those portrayed as the bad guy in the news in a different light.
