Timo Weiland’s presentation of his Men’s Spring 2015 look embodies the idea of springtime fashion but with a little twist. This collection embraces the idea of comfortable clothing but instead of aiming for the bright, vibrant colors, Weiland takes a different route with bolder, darker colors, while still maintaining the essence of the style that people tend to wear during the spring.
The first outfit for this show was an indigo linen jacket over a broken multi-stripe sweater with a navy button-down as well as a navy/black striped jersey sweat-short. There were a lot of different styles being presented like the variety of button-downs (short sleeves, long sleeves, stripes, and solid ones). In fact, many of the outfits presented had a button-down shirt featured in it. There were also some different types of outerwear being displayed (crewneck sweaters, striped collar sweaters, bombers, cardigans, jackets, and even a raincoat) and mostly all of these were complimented by a dark colored trouser and shorts. The shoes that accompanied these ensembles were solid black shoes or black sandals.
A particular standout of this collection was the crewneck sweatshirt with a zip pocket in a black cotton jersey and sweatpants in a black trouser cotton and black cotton ribbing. What really made this outfit stand out was not the dark color scheme but how comfortable those clothes looked. Similar looks included the short sleeved button-down in a white shirting with a waffle knit crewneck in navy cotton and sweatpants in a grey/navy/black jersey.
The entire collection takes on the springtime look by showcasing both formal outerwear as well as comfortable outer and innerwear.
