ScHoolboy Q hops on the Brit duo’s international smash
ScHoolboy Q is one of the grittiest, grimiest gangster rappers Hip-Hop’s boasted in recent history, and his chart-topping debut album, Oxymoron, is in-your-face proof of that. Still, don’t be surprised at how good he sounds on the upbeat, electric-pop song “Latch”, the great, internationally renowned hit crafted by production duo Disclosure and R&B star-of-the-moment Sam Smith. Q lets the original record head almost to the bridge, which is when he interrupts Smith and lets loose with a smooth, but vicious verse that somehow manages to make the song even more interesting.
