They’ve got a joint album’s worth of material at this point
Rick Ross and Jay Z‘s friendship and musical partnership has been well-documented. From 2005’s “Hustlin” remix, on which Hov dropped several memorable one-liners, including “We don’t resort to violence, we on resorts and islands,” to their most recent collaboration, “Devil Is A Lie,” on which Jay dropped a line about his controversial Barney’s collection. There’s always something to talk about after these two do a record, and “Movin Bass,” their latest collaboration and their 3rd song in the past 2 years, is slightly different, however. For the first time, Jay Z doesn’t have a verse on his collaboration with Ricky Rozay, but rather takes to the hook as they bounce over one of the more upbeat instrumentals we’ve heard from the almight Timbaland in recent history. Listen to the record below, and get ready for Rick’s second album of the year in just under a fortnight.
