The Knicks, in a nutshell
This is an unfortunate microcosm of the New York Knicks’ season thus far, and you can see every microscopic bit of it on J.R. Smith‘s face. After a long and hard-fought contest with the Utah Jazz, who have managed to win 4 of the 10 games they’ve played so far this season, the game came down to two possessions. With 2.3 seconds left, Carmelo Anthony did what Carmelo Anthony does, and hit a three-pointer–an awkward, off the backboard three-pointer, but a three-pointer nonetheless–to tie the game up at 100.
Following Melo’s heroics, Trey Burke–not to be outdone–dribbled to corner of the far sideline, and hit a turnaround jumper right in the face of J.R. Smith…
…much to the dismay of J.R. Smith.
Hopefully, the Knicks find a way to right the ship, and fast. It’s still very early in the season, but being the second-worst team in the Eastern Conference at any point in the season isn’t where an NBA team wants to be.
