The Man Who Doused NYPD Commissioner With Fake Blood Has Been Charged

The man behind one of the protests’ highlights has been charged. Harshly

26-year old Diego Ibanez has been arrested and charged with nine counts of assaulting a police officer after throwing fake blood on NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton. Bratton was walking with his entourage through Times Square during the protests that erupted following the Monday night announcement that Darren Wilson would not be indicted for shooting and killing Michael Brown when he was splattered with fake blood by Ibanez, and some of the ruckus that followed soon after was caught on video. According to the New York Daily News, Ibanez is a veteran of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
