LAIKA and Focus Features, the two companies behind animated hits such as “Coraline,” “ParaNorman,” and “The Boxtrolls,” announced their new animated film “Kubo and the Two Strings.” The film features Matthew McConaughey and Charlize Theron. In this film, a kindhearted Kubo lives a humble life while caring for his mother in their small shoreside village. It is when a spirit from the past comes around, that he encounters gods and monsters and fights for his survival in this thrilling animated odyssey. The film will be in theaters on August 19, 2016.
