Madonna’s 13th studio album is in a close cut battle to be this weekend’s no. 1 album in the UK.
Facing off against Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds: Chasing Yesterday, Madonna’s Rebel Heart dropped March 6th and charted within 24 hours of its release. Rebel Heart, which has been surrounded in controversy since it leaked three months prior to its release, has still succeeded in sales, and features some of todays top producers, like Avicii, Diplo, and even Kanye West. Some of the features on this album may be considered to be outside of Madonna’s pop element, like Nicki Minaj, Chance the Rapper and Mike Tyson, but nonetheless it’s interesting to see how Madonna’s sound has developed and changed over time.
