Tunisia is the new country to be the victim of a terror attack, this time at the Bardo museum in the capitol of Tunis. According to CNN, two men dressed in military garb went into the museum and opened fire on tourists killing 17 people.
Tunisia officials say that after the men began opening fire, security began firing back at the terrorists killing two of them. Interior Ministry spokesperson, Mohammed Ali Aroui went on public radio and said the attacks was done by Islamist’s and says that it is a hostage situation. The museum was filled with tourists from two cruise ships from MSC Splendida and Costa Fascinosa. One cruise ship had at least 3,000 tourists on board alone.
Polish Foreign Ministry told CNN that they had three polish nationals in the museum who are listed in stable condition after the attacks. Italian Italy’s Foreign Ministry also says that there were at least 100 Italians in the museum.
It is unknown what Islamic group will take responsibility for the attacks.
