Snoop Dogg Announces Development of HBO Series At SXSW

Snoop Dogg or Snoop Lion is a soon-to-be executive producer of an HBO series.

Snoop was a speaker at SXSW and during his speech he blamed former President Ronald Reagan for LA gang violence. He went on to say:

When Reaganomics kicked in, certain things were taken away, after-school programs and things of that nature. Guns and drugs were shipped into the neighborhood. So it was a shift of having fun and playing football to selling drugs and shooting at each other. To me it was a system that was designed, because when the Reaganomics era began, that’s when this began.

The plot of the drama will be about the lives of a family in LA during the Reaganomics era. The producer of “Menace II Society”, Allen Hughes, and a writer on “The Boondocks”, Rodney Barnes, will be working collectively with Snoop to put this project together.
