Listen To Sonna Rele’s Cinderella Theme Song “Strong”

Check out the all new theme song from Disney’s film Cinderella.

Oscar nominated director Kenneth Branagh chose London bred singer/songwriter Sonna Rele to perform the theme song of this Disney film which appears on the end credits of the film and is also featured on the soundtrack, out now. Sonna spoke about being chosen, “I was performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London with NE-YO and they asked me if I’d be interested in recording the song for the film … I’m a huge fan of Kenneth’s and Disney, so I was absolutely honored.”

Sonna also described the meaning behind the lyrics,”The song is really about personal strength, belief in yourself and the importance of having courage and kindness in your heart,” and went on to say “It’s a beautiful song that embodies the core values of the movie and I feel very proud to be a part of it.” “Strong” was co written by director Kenneth Branagh, Patrick Doyle, and Tommy Danvers.

Sonna Rele is signed to Ne-Yo and Motown Records.

Sonna’s career began when three-time Grammy winner NE-YO signed her to Compound/Motown Records. NE-YO even said,“There is a quality in Sonna’s voice that lingers in your ears after she performs a song. Her musicianship is refreshing and undeniably authentic.” Her musical inspirations include Stevie Wonder and the Beatles and she’s been lucky enough to perform with talents like John Legend, Will.i.am, and Michael Franti and collaborated with NE-YO, Marsha Ambrosius, Wyclef Jean and Shaggy. Sonna is planning to release the first single off her debut album this spring and the album itself later this year so stay tuned and check out “Strong” featured below.
