The return of the How Fly Boys
For just over a week, Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y–who ushered in a new era of stoner music with their ahead-of-its-time collaborative 2009 mixtape, How Fly–have been hinting at a new endeavor, 2009, named after the year they first broke onto the scene as the unofficial How Fly Boys.
Well, it’s official. Though Wiz Khalifa’s got a joint EP with Ty Dolla $ign, Talk About It in The Morning, on the way, he and Spitta have officially announced #2009, and what’s more? We have the first release off it. Listen to “Uber Driver,” produced by Sledgren.
