Angels Like Rebels, a revolutionary record label that engages fans in funding and promotion of new music, is hosting an open call audition in New York on May 16, 2015.
The auditions will take place from noon until 5pm at Simple Studios NYC at 134 West 29th Str., New York, NY 10001. Selected artists will work with Angels like Rebels to create profiles for their platform, which includes music and performance videos. Selection committee is chaired by Gordon “Commissioner Gordon” Williams, a Grammy award-winning producer known for his work with Lauryn Hill, Carlos Santana, Damien Marley, and Amy Winehouse. “The music industry is looking for a new business model,” said Gordon Williams.
“I am glad to support Angels Like Rebels in their efforts to build a new type of record label that invests in artist development, compensates artists fairly, and gives emerging artists a better chance to launch their careers.”
