Deron Williams had the worst season of his career this past season with career lows in points and assists. With this comes rumors of a potential buy-out from the team. Though that seems to be the best course of action from both sides, reports seems to show that it’s very unlikely. According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, Brooklyn probably won’t buy out the 30-year-old’s contract with $43 Million remaining. Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily tweeted that it is possible for Williams to return to his previous team, the Utah Jazz if a buyout is reached.
IF Deron Williams and Nets agree to a buyout (still unlikely), wouldn’t rule out return to Utah for point guard. Wouldn’t that be something.

The situation simply hasn’t worked out for both sides. The Nets expected to be receiving the 3-time All-Star from Utah that was competing with Chris Paul as the best point guard in the league. Williams could have become the face of New York sports with the move from New Jersey to Brooklyn, and a team that had a chance to become a power in the east. Though injuries, management decisions, and poor play none of the ideas came to reality. Only time will tell if Williams will finish out his tenure with the Nets.
