Wedding bells are ringing and the couple is a match made in heaven!
Actress Nia Long is allegedly newly engaged to longtime boyfriend Ime Udoka. After being spotted this past weekend flaunting a sparkling diamond, there was speculation that the former Spurs player turned assistant coach had popped the question. A representative from Nia’s camp has confirmed with numerous outlets that the rumor is in fact true, but neither of the two has spoken about their engagement.
The 44-year old Long and 37-year old Udoka have been an item since 2010, and welcomed their first son Kez Sunday in 2011. Both are extremely successful in their successful careers and have built a family unit, so surely the time is right. Nia shared her views on marriage back in 2013, during her press run for the film The Best Man Holiday, stating:
“I think that women who are extremely driven to success, ambitious, I think they get to a point in their lives where they’re like, ‘Uh oh. I am 30-something years old, and I don’t have a husband and I don’t have children yet and what does that mean?'”
She explained.
“I think what it means is stay in your course because it’s going to happen when it’s supposed to happen,” she added. “It doesn’t happen for everyone at the same time, so you can’t compare your life to someone else’s.”
