The cat is out the bag
Safaree “ScaffBeezy” Samuels finally opened up about his break-up with longtime girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, on an emotional new song “Love the Most.” He touched on their 12-year relationship on numerous occasions, and questioned, “Did the good outweigh the bad or did the bad outweigh the good?”
In past interviews, SB has mentioned how upsetting it was not being able to publicly be affectionate with Minaj. On this new song, he raps about the sentiment, “What a shame it took a split for them to know I was your man,” before adding, “Guess I wasn’t cool enough ’cause in our pictures be hidin’ it.”
There’s a lot to digest, but one of the most glaring moments of the record is when SB mentions how much it pained him to see Minaj kiss Nas in her “Right By My Side” video, something that was talked about heavily at the time of its release. (“Had to watch you kiss Nas and pretend it’s all cool/Inside I was feeling like a motherfu**in’ fool”).
He goes on to mention that there aren’t any hard feelings, but he didn’t spare Minaj’s new romance with Meek, admitting that he was thrown off guard. “Then you let somebody new come and whisper in your ear/Didn’t think he woulda told you that was my biggest fear.”
Nicki however, didn’t show any sympathy. She wrote a flurry of tweets responding to SB’s song.
“Took a person with me to fame & fortune. These dudes leave their girl in the hood. Tell ppl the truth or you will be doomed,” she exploded around midnight. She also mentioned how SB cheated on her, and she has been nothing but loyal to him, in response to what SB said in “Love the most” (“Life revolves around a bitch show me a man that won’t cheat”).
“Lesson: don’t cheat on a loyal woman. God will punish u. When he does, tell people the truth. The truth may set u free. Love. Always,” she tweeted.
“And just for the record, I’m in love with meek,” she tweeted before adding, “Making a 12 yr relationship work at such young ages? We’re BOTH the real MVP. Things got rocky at the end but we had a GREAT run. #B4Ujudge.”
Though, despite their differences, SB noted they both “went to sleep in the same bed of lies.” Yikes! You can listen for yourself above.

I think this is an interesting topic because Safaree is a man that is trying to make it in the music industry by talking about his ex, Nicki Minaj. It’s unfortunate for him because she is a big icon now and I believe the only reason why he is getting publicity is because of knowing her. People just want to hear what he has to say rather than respect him as a music artist. It isn’t possible for him to ever be respected more than Nicki because she has made a “pinkprint” for herself in rap. Since she is so original with her style, Safaree would be lucky to get more respect. I believe the only chance he has is equal to an asteroid falling to Earth and hitting a Starbucks, since I hate coffee haha. Also to detail that further, the asteroid would have to be the size of the starbucks, no bigger or smaller.
