YG Announces New Single, “Twist My Fingaz,” Shares Preview

YG’s gearing up to repeat

Last year, YG dropped his debut album, My Krazy Life, and instantly became one of 2014’s biggest acts. His descriptive, harrowing and comedic debut, which detailed much of what went on in his daily life shortly before and shortly after he was imprisoned for residential burglary in 2009, shot to the top of year-end lists–we named it our 2014 Album of the Year–and made him the year’s pre-eminent breakout star.

This year, after being noticeably snubbed by the Grammys and being shot in his hometown of Los Angeles, the resilient Compton rapper is gearing up to drop his sophomore effort, which is rumored to be out later this year. He’s shared a preview of the album’s forthcoming lead single, “Twist My Fingaz,” which will drop tomorrow.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the first he partook in since the shooting incident, YG hinted that DJ Mustard wouldn’t be as involved in this album as he was in My Krazy Life–Mustard produced or co-produced 8 of the album’s 14 songs–and revealed the album’s title to be Still Krazy.
