Get to the bottom of it, Texas
Last week, an extremely troubling and disheartening story broke out of Waller County, Texas, in which an ambitious woman was found dead in her jail cell just 2 days after driving down south to begin a new job. According to several reports, the woman, 28-year old Sandra Bland, was pulled over at a traffic stop, and detained after allegedly acting “combative” towards authorities. A video clip of the incident only shows Bland being forced to the ground, knee in her back.
Upon being asked about the tragic incident, Waller County District Attorney, Elton Mathis, claimed the only evidence and information he’d been presented with left him with no choice but to “think it was anything other than just a suicide.” However, today, he’s completed a full 180-degree turn on the matter.
This morning, Mathis announced that Bland’s death would no longer be treated as death by asphyxiation.
This is being treated like a murder investigation.
What sparked the about-face? Conversations with the last people to see and speak to Bland, none of whom detected a trace of depression or self-doubt in Bland’s demeanor. “There are too many questions that need to be resolved. Ms. Bland’s family does make valid points. She did have a lot of things going on in her life for good.”
Furthermore, contrary to initial reports, Bland was found sitting down, and not hanging. The FBI will be supervising the Texas Rangers’ investigation into the matter.
We want to know which one of those dirty cops knows studied computer tech. Because we don’t trust cops and we think that the video was edited.
