Diane Keaton will be taking on her first ever television series role in this all new HBO, Sky and Canal+production.
Directed by Paolo Sorrentino, “The Young Pope” will star Diane Keaton and Jude Law. The show will focus around Pius XIII played by Law and Keaton’s character Sister Mary, an American nun in Vatican city. Keaton’s character is one of the Vatican courtiers who Pius XIII stubbornly refuses. Production for the television series begins this week and will most likely air next year. Director Paolo Sorrentino said the show will deal with temptation, faith power struggles and,“The clear signs of God’s existence. The clear signs of God’s absence.”
