Straight Outta Compton has already seen a couple controversies hover over its extremely well-received release, and today, it appears they have another one headed their way.

Jerry Heller, Eazy-E‘s manager and an integral part of the infrastructure that helped to catapult N.W.A. to astronomic success, was portrayed by Paul Giamatti as somewhat of a contradiction–a compassionate businessman who used the group’s lack of knowledge of the music industry to his financial advantage.

Apparently, Heller, who recently saw the movie, is not okay with how things played out. We already know that he was not consulted about the film, thanks to his interview with Grantland, but it sounds as if his portrayal will prompt him to take legal action. His comments to the L.A. Times were as follows.

I did see it on Saturday, and I’m still not willing to comment right now on that movie because I think sooner or later it may be part of an ongoing litigation.

We’ll see where this goes.
