If you’ve been under a rock for the past couple weeks, you’ve missed the latest video to go unbelievably viral, a remix of Next‘s smash hit “Too Close” dubbed “Why You Lying,” an ode to dishonest folks everywhere. The 15-second remake, posted by Nicolas Fraser on Instagram a few weeks ago, has become immensely popular, and has even caught traction at parties.
In response, RL of Next, who was a part of the original song–which, it should be noted, hit #1 on the Billboard 100 in 1998–has decided to have a little fun with the recent sensation, crafting his own version of Fraser’s re-make, which you can watch above.
