The King has finally passed the “Logo”.
Going into last night’s game against the Detroit Pistons, Cavs forward LeBron James needed 10 points to surpass Hall of Famer Jerry West for 19th on the league’s all time scoring list. Without wasting any time, James started off the game hot and made history in the 1st quarter. Knocking down a corner 3 pointer, the King surpassed the Lakers great with 25,193 points of his illustrious career. James needed just 929 career games to accomplish the feat. You can credit Matthew Delleavedova as the assist man for the historical play.
Finishing with a game high 30 points wasn’t enough for his Cavs to leave the Palace Of Auburn Hills with a win. Detroit defeated Cleveland 104-99. Averaging roughly 27 points a game, James’s next scoring icon on the list to surpass is sharpshooting NBA legend Reggie Miller who lit it up for a total of 25, 279 points during his time with the Indiana Pacers. Needing only 66 points, LeBron will be in 18th place in no time.
