If you’ve been perusing social media the past weeks, you might have noticed a line of “ugly christmas sweaters” being sold by rapper 2 Chainz. The sweaters, which feature a dabbing santa and weed leaves have been a certified hit with fans. What buyers may not have been aware of, is the fact that the proceeds from each purchase will be going to a great cause.
2 Chainz kicked off his charitable outreach by donating to a Palmetto, Georgia family this past weekend. The rapper brought a local news team with him as he visited the home of disabled veteran Dierdre Plater. Speaking with cameras, she shared her story of raising a family on her own, which is all the more difficult given her disability. The College Park native offered to pay Plater’s rent for an entire year, all with proceeds from his sale of the sweaters.
