Video has now surfaced of Creed star Michael B. Jordan taking a punch on the set of the movie. A super real, devastating punch, except it was all scripted.
Jordan went onto Bill Simmons’ podcast a few days before the release of the film to explain that he had to take the punch in order for the scene to work.
From the looks of things, it looks as if Jordan was out cold for a few minutes. Co-star Sylvester Stallone, in a conversation with professional movie buffs and critics over at Rotten Tomatoes, said that it was a rite of passage.
Judging by how well the movie is doing, it looks as if the hit was certainly worth it.
