The Houston Rockets are off to a less than desired start of their 2016 NBA season. They currently sit at 15-15 (they recently just lost to the Orlando Magic), which is seventh in the west, they’ve parted ways with Kevin Mchale 11 games in, and with Dwight Howard’s unhappiness rumors mixing in with Ty Lawson not thriving in the offense, things have not looked well. Howard and James Harden are taking things on by themselves in an attempt to right the ship. According to the Houston Chronicle, Harden and Howard have taken extra time working out together to help the two strengthen on-court chemistry. Account to Howard, so far, so good.
“It’s been great,” Howard said. “The thing we are trying to build on the most is chemistry between me and James. We have played together for two years, but the best way to build chemistry is to have those individual workouts together.
“That’s what we have done the last couple of weeks and we have gotten better at reading each other and the more we do it, the better we will become.”
With all the current mess surrounding the team, it’s good Howard and Harden are keeping their heads above water. After all, with the state of the west this season, things could be a lot worse.
